We are delighted that Lactamo has been named today as a finalist in one of Australia’s most prestigious business awards programs, the Telstra Best of Business Awards 2024.
Out of 22,420 nominations, Lactamo is one of six State Finalists for Accelerating Women.
Our mission with Lactamo is simple: we’re here to give women the best success, together with the best experience in breastfeeding – if they choose to breastfeed. This might seem like a straightforward task, but the disappointing reality is that currently 92% of mothers experience common breastfeeding problems, and no country in the world meets the recommended standards for breastfeeding (UNICEF). “Babies and mothers are being failed by a lack of investment in breastfeeding” (WHO). Telstra’s Award selection criteria focuses on businesses who “have put initiatives in place focused on supporting women”: at Lactamo we're determined to change the negative breastfeeding status quo, supporting women.
Lactamo is a clinically validated, social impact, world first breastfeeding solution, called out by leading lactation consultants as a “game changer”. As well as being an innovative solution we’re also here to champion mothers, supporting their breastfeeding journeys.
