Further Federal Government Funding for Lactamo Announced

Further Federal Government Funding for Lactamo from the Boosting Female Founders Initiative announced.

Lactamo is incredibly grateful to be selected as one of 34 companies receiving a grant from the Australian Government Department of Industry, Science, Energy and Resources through AusIndustry’s Boosting Female Founders Initiative.

This program provides targeted support on a co-contribution basis to female founders of startup businesses to scale into domestic and global markets. The program also offers expert mentoring and advice.

Governments around the world are understanding the importance and benefits of breastfeeding, not just for the health of babies, but also for the health of mothers, society, and the economy as a whole. "Every dollar invested in promoting and supporting breastfeeding generates an estimated $35 in long-term economic returns." (UNICEF, 2017)

This backing of Lactamo by the Federal Government is an example of the Government leading the way and proactively supporting both breastfeeding and women's leadership in business. I'm proud to live in a country with such progressive support for innovation and entrepreneurs.

With this significant grant Lactamo is excited to be able to expand its commercialisation, giving more women the best experience and the best success in breastfeeding, if breastfeeding is their choice.
